Performance Based Compensation

Standard course duration: 16-40 hours

The objective of the course is to provide a practical approach on how to design and implement a Pay-For-Performance Program – an important component of successful implementation of lean organization and TQM practices. Research shows that employees are primarily motivated by financial rewards and will dramatically improve their performance to achieve such rewards. The course provides guidance on establishing team monetary rewards based on objective performance measurements and linking operational performance to financial results of the company. The company’s operational performance criteria and objectives are used in the course to provide a practical application of the acquired knowledge.

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to design the performance compensation program for individual teams.

Non-Monetary Incentives and Rewards

Standard course duration: 8 hours

The objective of the course is to provide a practical approach on how to design and implement a non-monetary rewards and recognition program. Non-monetary rewards could be very motivating, helping to build feelings of confidence and satisfaction. The course provides guidance on establishing non-monetary rewards and recognition programs to improve organizational performance. This course covers the following major topics: What Makes Us Do Anything?; Factors that Influence Team Motivation; Non-monetary Rewards and Employee Motivation; Creating Effective Teams; Team Performance and Rewards; Balancing Individual and Collective Rewards; Employee Recognition Programs; Matching Rewards with Behavior; and Balancing Financial & Non-financial Rewards.

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to establish non-financial rewards that will be valued by recipients and that the recipients will know which specific behavior a reward is meant to encourage.
