Management & Leadership > Managing Remote Workers

As the work environment and the supporting technology continue to evolve, the remote worker has become a more common occurrence and less of a phenomenon. With this evolution comes the challenge of developing and managing remote workers and geographically dispersed teams; to dispel the image of the jammie-clad lounger and replace it with that of a home-office fully functional professional.

This course starts with the business case for remote working and then moves into proper preparation for remote working, both individually and organizationally. Finally, the course trains participants in the skills needed for the day-to-day operational management of remote workers and teams. Included in the skills taught are communication, motivation, setting goals and objectives, monitoring and managing performance.

Upon completion of this course participants will be prepared to work or manage in a remote or hybrid environment, building teams, developing people and delivering results.
